Flash cartoon (2'20"). 550 x 400 px. June 1998. An incomplete cartoon detailing the trials and tribulations of a rarely romanticized American figure, Aaron Burr. I never got around to finishing the sequence where he shot Alexander Hamilton, nor where he single-handedly sacked the British in the Revolutionary War. With Burr I tried a much different approach to satire than projects like RetroWorks - here the content is scarce and misleading. Unfortunately, it ends up looking more like pure eye candy - not my exact intent. (Then again, my credibility was lost the second I showed the White House standing in 1804.) The current version features me singing in falsetto to "The Look of Love". Indeed, many family members are puzzled by the project. I haven't quite tested how well this cartoon loads up on older versions of Netscape and newer versions of IE. Hopefully it'll preload fine. If you don't have the Macromedia Flash 3 plug-in, you might just get a black screen. |
